Big news for Bailiffgate

Bailiffgate Museum & Art Gallery has just been awarded development funding of £197,000 by The National Lottery Heritage Fund to begin their move to the historic Northumberland Hall in Alnwick’s market place. This gives the team the exciting opportunity to draw up detailed plans for revitalising the Grade I listed building, bringing it back into productive use as a cultural hub for local people and visitors in the town centre. It was exciting helping the museum team to prepare their successful Stage 1 lottery application, including working with interpretive design team Bright to draw together an initial interpretive vision for the new building and running a workshop with Carolyn Lloyd Brown to clarify the team’s aims and aspirations for the relocated museum. A huge congratulations to the Bailiffgate team for their hard work in getting to this point – I can’t wait to see what happens next!
